Description
We are Hamish and Geo, two adventurous Kiwis fueled by a deep passion for the great outdoors! Our journey is driven by the thrill of exploration and the beauty of nature, whether we’re hiking breathtaking landscapes or embracing new challenges.
Our hiking adventures have taken us to iconic trails such as the Great Walks of Aotearoa, the stunning Cape to Cape track in Western Australia, and the captivating Theth to Valbona trek in Albania. If there’s a mountain to climb, you can bet we’ll be there, ready to conquer it!
Sailing is another passion of ours. We were fortunate to learn the ropes in the Hauraki Gulf of Auckland, New Zealand, where we honed our skills before embarking on an unforgettable three-week journey in the Ionian Sea, skippering a 43-foot yacht. The freedom of the open sea and the beauty of the coastline ignite our adventurous spirits.
We also love diving into vibrant underwater worlds, exploring the rich marine life right in our backyard in New Zealand and venturing to the breathtaking waters of the Philippines. Each dive is a new opportunity to connect with nature and experience the wonders beneath the waves.
During the winter months, you’ll find us hitting the slopes for thrilling snowboarding and skiing adventures. While we often enjoy the slopes back home in New Zealand, we recently had an incredible experience at Whistler, Canada, where the majestic mountains and fresh powder took our love for winter sports to new heights.
Professionally, we bring a diverse blend of marketing and HR expertise. Hamish previously served as the marketing manager at an art gallery, where he combined his creative talents with strategic insights. At the same time he delivered a class for the arts program at the local university. Geo takes on a leadership roles in HR focusing primarily on supporting charitable organizations during the tumultuous times of COVID, and aiding them with their strategic direction to ensure they meet their targets. Together, we navigate the balance between hands-on adventures and professional know-how.
Our community spirit drives us to be capable hospitality kids who are handy with tools, always looking to create welcoming spaces where everyone can thrive, most recently we were in the operational team for a small NZ festival called Chronophonium where the key messaging was 'leave no trace'. But whether it’s cooking up a delicious meal at the marae (community house) or lending a hand in community projects (Search and Rescue for Hamish, Surf Lifesaving for Geo), we are committed to fostering connection and joy wherever we go.

As a dynamic couple, we bring a diverse range of skills and experiences to the table. Hamish is not only passionate about outdoor adventures but is also a talented artist with experience teaching at the tertiary level. His background in marketing equips him with excellent communication and organisational skills, making him adept at fostering positive connections.
Professionally, Geo is an HR leader, and strategises at the operational level within organisations, Geo core industry is non for profits or charity, eg UNICEF and Oxfam. Geo adds to our skill set with experience as a surf lifeguard, holding a UK First Aid certificate, which ensures a safe environment during our adventures.
Additionally, both of us can skipper a boat, and Hamish has his Advanced Open Water diving certification, giving us a solid foundation for water-based activities.
We both enjoy cooking and are comfortable working with tools, making us handy in a variety of settings. Hamish also has an international driver’s license and is skilled at driving manual vehicles, which can be a huge asset while exploring new places. Together, we’re a resourceful and adaptable duo ready to contribute our skills to any host!
