Description
Originally from Maryland, USA, I’m an architectural lighting designer currently based in Colombia, where I’ve been living since 2021. Over the years, I’ve spent extended time in various countries teaching English, volunteering, backpacking, and working remotely.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences with a minor in Environmental Management, along with certifications in computer-aided design, lighting design, and English teaching. In August 2026, I’ll be attending a Master of Science in Lighting program in upstate New York for a 9-month intensive.

Alongside my professional work, I enjoy contributing to community-focused and environmental initiatives. While in Colombia, I organized a donation drive supporting flood victims in the Córdoba region and have participated in Digital Nomad Barrio cleanups.

I’m especially interested in projects related to sustainability, eco-building, permaculture, landscaping, and community development. I enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and being part of something meaningful. I’m reliable, easygoing, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

I work remotely with a flexible schedule and am happy to contribute around 4–6 hours per day. I’ll be in the U.S. from April 7–18, and after that I’m looking for a rewarding Workaway experience in Central America before returning to Colombia around May 18.

Pantila and the rest of the staff have a terrific place of respite from the outside world. Mark is a really relaxed and warm guy with a good atmosphere at both his hostel and English school. He opened the house up to me as a place to stay for a few days because I had an issue with one of the dogs at my first host's. Thanks Mark!
