Hiya, my name is Faye!! here's a little glimpse of me!

I’m a someone who finds inspiration from the natural world. I have a deep appreciation for nature & I am definitely happiest when I am outdoors. I love to go on walks and hikes where I can forage & take photos of bugs & mushrooms. I also have a big heart for animals of all shapes & sizes. I studied animal management in college and before leaving for my workaway journey I worked in a kennel & cattery & a garden centre.

Travelling through workaway has become one of my favourite ways to travel the world. I really enjoy new experiences and making meaningful connections with people of all cultures and backgrounds, peaople can teach you so much about yourself & the world!

I would describe myself as friendly, respectful, open-minded, and adaptable. I enjoy being part of a team but I’m also independent and happy to take initiative with tasks. I’m always willing to learn new skills and help wherever needed. I love to get my hands dirty… literally, there is nothing more satisfying to me than coming home from work completely covered in mud!!!

I am also a very creative person. I love a good DIY, I am always trying to find a new art hobby. Whether that be painting, photography, crochet, embroidery, scrapbooking. I’m always in the mood to master a new skill & do something hands on.

The workaways I’ve been on so far have been mainly centred around animal care, communities, ranches, farms & gardening. I am very much interested in permaculture and living as sustainably and self sufficient as possible, I would love to learn more about this.

I’ve always been great with animals, whether it's caring for my own pets or helping out with others—there’s just something about the bond between humans and animals that I find so fulfilling.
I have a strong passion for DIY projects, I’ve never been afraid to get stuck in and get my hands dirty. I’ve always been a hands on resourceful person. I feel as if I become the best version of myself when I have a project set out for me to do. I definitely have a knack for being self-sufficient.
I also enjoy meeting new people and making connections, whether it’s through shared interests or learning something new from someone else’s perspective. I think it’s such a beautiful part of life being able to meet all different kinds of people from different backgrounds.
I currently work at a boarding kennel and cattery which I absolutely adore!! Even the tasks of cleaning and making the animals comfy to being able to bond with them and provide enrichment and cuddles for them on their stay and everything inbetween i have truly found my passion there and I want to be able to take those skills that I’ve learnt and use them for all kinds of projects :)
