    Description

We are a young family, Stefanie (35 years) and Severin (33 years) with our children Felix (3 years) and Moritz (under 1 year), 2 cats (Emil and Findus) and our dog (Kira) and have only been living since July 2022 on the farm yard. Our farm is located in a small village about 30 km east of Dresden, between Saxon Switzerland and Upper Lusatia. Our wish is to bring the farm back to life. Our farm is currently in a slumber and our intention is to build the farm as a self-sufficient farm in the spirit of permaculture. True to the motto "It is more important to do something small than to talk about it on a large scale." we want to start step by step, develop and try out our ideas. We didn't grow up farming and develop our skills through reading, experimenting and learning. Your knowledge can also find space here and we can develop plans and ideas together. We have a 1.5ha property where about 20 chickens and 4 geese live. In addition, we still have 1ha of forest, which also needs our attention. In the summer and autumn we want to build fences, plant beds for next year, build benje hedges and compost heaps, make hay and build a goose pen. We would also like to beautify our front yard. We plan to reactivate the two ponds in 2024. We want people who can help us on the farm or even keep our children busy. After breakfast together and a look at the sky, we discuss the tasks of the day. After work, we like to spend time together. We value a good work-life balance. On free days we can go on excursions together or you can explore the area independently. Saxon Switzerland offers plenty of room for hiking and Dresden is also worth a visit. Severin is in Dresden 2 days a week on business and 3 days in the home office and I am on parental leave until the beginning of November, so we would like you to have a certain degree of independence. During your time with us you are part of our family and live with us in the house.

Unfortunately, our English is not very good and we are hoping that you can help us improve our English.
