About Fae:
I am a mixed Filipina-American from New York City currently living between the US and the Philippines. I’m a graduate student in public health with a background in humanitarian work, child welfare, and community-based mental health. I’ve worked with families in crisis, supported refugee communities, and led creative, education-based projects in both the U.S. and Southeast Asia.
Outside of work, I love being around kids, connecting with people from all walks of life, and learning new skills (especially hands-on or cultural ones!). I’m kind, curious, adaptable, and grounded — and I show up with a genuine heart and open mind. I also have a 7-year-old son who’s a sweet, imaginative explorer and often travels with me. We’re a great team!
About Alex:
I am working as a graphic designer, based in Manila. I have 8+ years of experience with social media, graphic design, and advertising. I am currently taking a break from work and am looking forward to traveling around asia, experiencing the culture and garnering worthwhile experiences from my travels.
As a hobby, I like to cook and take care of the house, and am always tidy and respectful of the space I am staying in. I would love to learn more about local cuisines in the places I travel. I also love taking care of animals, and have 2 cats at home. I have done workaways that include animal care and farm work and find these very enjoyable.
We are currently looking for Workaway experiences where we can give back, learn, and grow while taking a break from city life and traditional 9-to-5 work.
