Hello, Bonjour!
I am a 24-year-old from Atlantic Canada taking a 6-month leave to travel. I work in Halifax as a bike lane planner, I am very enthusiastic about healthy and environmental cities.

Growing up, I spent lots of time on my friends' small scale organic farm where I learnt lots of animal care and general farm skills. I ran a community garden on my uni campus, so I have gardening skills & would love to learn more. I am very handy and love to get my hands dirty!

I spent many years working with kids, and would love to meet your kids and get to know your whole family.

I consider myself to be a very good cook, I love to learn new cuisines and be creative with the ingredients available. I live alone so I am tidy too!

I am interested in language exchange, making art and music, and being active. I love to meet new people, its my favourite part of travelling.

English is my first language and I would be happy to informally teach some English! French is my second language but I consider myself conversationally fluent, I would love any opportunity to speak French with others. I have taken Spanish classes and would love to learn more.

I spent time every summer on a family friend's small-scale farm. They had poultry, horses, cows, yaks, pigs, sheep, a large vegetable garden and orchard. I learnt all sorts of animal care and farm maintenance skills, but more importantly I learnt problem-solving and independence. I am eager to tackle any type of farm problem and to learn new things.

I worked at a daycare as my part-time job in university. I'm familiar working with ages 0-5, but I love all kids. I am not scared to change a diaper or take care of kids, and would love to stay with a family with kids.

I am friendly, play the flute, and love to dance (salsa, bachata, swing, club) so one of the skills I bring is good company!
