Wonderful Hosts in a Beautifully Peaceful Breton Village!
Thorsten and John impressed me with their hospitality, kindness, and empathetic nature. I enjoyed every moment of my two-week stay, they are so friendly and inclusive that it felt more like visiting friends than a typical workaway experience. They warmly introduced me to their friends and

It was great to have Burak stay with us for 2 weeks - we didn't want to let him go!!!! He is a wonderful friendly person who hears instructions once and doesn't forget. His work ethic and output is exceptional and his attitude terrific. Nothing was too difficult or tedious. And we had many great discussions and enjoyed good friendship. We look

I stayed at the Home of Thorsten and John for just about a week and this was my first Workaway experience. Thorsten and John are so pleasant and joyful people and I really enjoyed the time of my stay. The region of the Bretagne is just beautiful and you can always go to visit the beach or make a walk around the exiting cliffs of the cost.

Speaking of working tasks, I manly helped Thorsten and John with the gardening and preparation of the winter. The weather in the time of my stay was an experience on his own with storms who managed to shake the hole house and windspeeds over 200 km/h. So, there was also some cleaning to do afterwards.
But the most important part of traveling and Workaway for me are the people. And Thorsten and John made this whole experience to something special. I loved having talks with them about nearly everything and the both are so interested and intelligent people and I learnt so much by listening to the tales of their lives.
And then there is the section food. An let me say, it was just wonderful. Thorsten and John always like to say: “Live is to short for bad food”. And I couldn’t say it better. Both of them are really good cooks and now how to create a fabulous meal out of naturel ingredients.
John and Thorsten, thank you for the beautiful stay in the west of Bretagne and for all the experiences.

Dmitri is a quiet spoken guy with energy and enthusiasm. He took on any task given without a fuss and achieved many things. Our communication was a bit challenging at times as our French isn't good and his English is still developing, but we always found a way - that's part of this experience!
Thanks for the projects achieved and keep on learning

Greta, Sophie and Nina are a fabulous trio! Full of life, laughs and enthusiasm. they came to us at short notice when we were only just settling in after a long holiday. Plenty needed to be done in the garden, and they attacked the jobs with energy and focus. Just give them the job and they go for it with maturity and gusto!

The time we spent at John and Thorsten's place was definitely one of the most beautiful experiences of our lives! The two of you are caring and welcoming hosts and we loved to visit the local villages with you and learn more about the region! The guest house is absolutely perfect, super clean and really beautiful and we loved seeing how much has

Especially working in the garden was really cool and we learnt a lot about different kinds of herbs and plants! It was also great to cook and bake the delicious food with the two of you and to get to know so many more recipes that we will definitely try as soon as we get home! One of our highlights was also the fact that it is only a 5min walk to the beach and not much longer to the stunning cliffs where you can take long walks along the wonderful seaside with the best views! We already miss hearing your crazy stories, laughing with you, relaxing in the jacuzzi and being outside all day long and really hope that we are gonna be able to return to this magical place one day!!
Much love and thank you so much!

Jaffa and Amelia were a great first experience for us to the Workaway program. From the moment they arrived, we felt certain it would be good. They worked hard (often many more hours than needed), were fun and friendly, helped achieve many projects regardless of how dirty or repetitive the tasks were, and were excellent company for many a late

It was our very first experience on Workaway and we couldn't have wished for more! John & Thorsten are two wonderful hosts and we spent a marvellous stay at their place. There was a lot of work to do! We help them build a decking, and working with them was very nice. They are patient and took the time to explain what we had to do.

You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
