Hi! My name is Elaina. I'm 22 years old I currently live in Maryland, U.S.
originally I found this site when I was considering taking a gap year from college. Now I'm looking for unique experiences to get over the summer. I really want to learn a new language and be around different types of people. I'm very easygoing and friendly but also a hard worker.
I love to work with animals, specifically horses and cows. I used to do a lot of volunteer work at a local horse rescue and took occasional riding lessons and my grandparents used to have a cattle farm which is where my love for cows comes from. I also always used to have some sort of rodent as a pet (hamster, rats, guinea pig) and I fostered rabbits for a local rescue last summer.
I also have experience working with children. This past summer I worked at a preschool and babysat a few times a week. Over the last 4 winters, I worked in the kid's program at a ski resort teaching young children to ski and snowboard.
I would love to move abroad one day once I finish school so my main goal of working away is to experience other cultures and learn a new language. I haven't yet done a work-away program so I'm hoping to find something for this summer and I'm very excited to meet new people!
As for covid, I am fully vaccinated and boosted and would be happy to meet any other requirements you need :)
