    Description

** Available for volunteers starting in May 2025 **

Hello! We offer a REMOTE off-grid 50 acre property of old growth forest on the shores of a spring-fed lake. We are the only property on the lake. Peace, quiet, and seclusion await you. We back on to 1000's of kilometers of pristine uninhabited wilderness, and there are always opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, fishing, and hiking.

We are a couple in our 40's, who have been living here off-grid for the past 13 years. Our property boarders a beautiful spring-fed lake where we enjoy swimming, canoeing, kayaking and hiking.

    Help

We always have something on the go at our off-grid property!
Around our property we are often working on fixing trails, building and maintaining gardens, working on our structures, and gathering firewood.

Workawayers will only be helping in our private home and garden and won't be helping with any business-related tasks.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

    We have two different options:
For the cooler and possibly wetter months, helpers will be sheltered in the upstairs of our workshop where you will have your own private space. There is a queen sized bed and solar powered lighting. There is also a fan in case it is too warm.

If you prefer, you may sleep in a tent by the lake on one of our large tent platforms. All equipment is provided for you.

We will eat all of our meals together at our house. Due to our remote location, we are unable to accommodate any special dietary needs. Our property is not car or motorboat accessible, and we cannot offer parking. The property is accessed by canoeing, followed by a short hike. We are very far away from the nearest town or store.
