I have just graduated from a degree focusing in humanitarianism, development, and disaster response, after working in the city for a few months I realised I would like to be spending more time in nature and in community-focussed environments.

I realised this would be a perfect time for me to explore my interests & have a go at learning new skills, particularly useful home skills such as DIY/carpentry/home renovation, and gardening - I helped with community gardening projects whilst at university & love the environment these projects create. However I'm an avid learner & am open to giving most things a go:)

My previous work experience has revolved around NGO work - for example, doing basic housing repair work after Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, and running creative workshops in a refugee camp with the Greek grassroots NGO Habibi Works. Most recently, I worked for Action for Humanity (Syria Relief) - assisting the programmes department in creating concept notes for funding, researching potential funding opportunities, and reviewing/editing important documents such as the annual report.

Whilst at university I volunteered in multiple community projects doing both admin and hands-on roles, and throughout my education I have worked in multiple customer-service roles such as bar work and retail work.

I enjoy work that challenges me both physically and mentally, but I also love living my life for simple pleasures - most of my spare time is spent with a book, cooking/exploring somewhere new with friends, & going for long walks with my dog.
