  • Description

    Hi! I’m a 20-year-old Swede that graduated high school last summer. Since then I’ve been traveling more or less full time, done plenty different volunteerings and plan continuing to do so.

    I’m on Workaway mainly to learn new skills and to meet new people. Also, I want to give back to the places and people I visit, and be able to immerse into cultures. Volunteering is therefore the way of traveling I’ve found most enjoyable.

    Primarily I’m looking for more animal welfare/rescue volunteering opportunities, but would absolutely love to learn more about sustainable farming (have a little experience of this) and construction (barely any experience). Further, I’m up for any experience that sounds cool, fun or means possibilities of learning and developing☺️

    As a person I’d say I’m energetic and talkative and always happy to learn new things. I like to cook, bake, go hiking, play football or do other sports, go partying, to sing (but I cannot really sing😳😳) and listen to music, reading and running. Hobbies I’m trying to pick up/learn/do more of includes skating, climbing, sewing, painting, knitting, kayaking, surfing, scuba diving and learning to play some instrument. So if you want to join me on this or maybe even teach me, reach out! :))

    I have previously worked in service at a fast food restaurant. Therefore I am used to working with people and customers, and work great both independently and in a team. Teamwork is one of my strong suits since I have been playing football for half of my life. Because of my work, I have experience of preparing meals, which is also a big hobby of mine. Moreover I have great experience of cleaning as I have independently worked a lot of closing shifts during which we clean the entirety of the restaurant and the kitchen.

    I’ve also worked in a camp kitchen where I got to further develop my cooking skills.

    I have led a few football practices as well as taught a few physical education classes. This is something I can see myself doing more of in the future, and I can take on a leader role with grace, if needed.

    I have a pet cat, named Harri, and therefore have great knowledge of pet care. I love being around all sorts of animals, you could call me a real animal whisperer (;

    As for volunteering, I stayed at a very social hostel in Budapest for 1,5 months where my main tasks included leading walking tours and drinking games, reception work and a bit of cleaning.

    I have also volunteered at an animal shelter, mainly for dogs, in Morocco for approximately 3 months. There I did everything from cleaning, feeding, and watering the animals, to doing bandages, changing diapers, giving medication and walking the dogs. Working with animals is something I can see myself doing more of in the future.

    Additionally I’ve also done some shorter volunteerings, tree planting, house building/renovation and living in a community in nature.

    I am always happy to learn new things and am a quick learner, so being assigned job tasks I have no previous experience of is a challenge I face with joy. I proud myself on being a hard worker, and a person that my colleagues and employers can always count on.
