Description
I am a conservation biologist with a love for the outdoors. With my degree, I was lucky enough to live in Canada and South America, as well as travel to Mexico for fieldwork and studying. On my travels and at home, I have learnt skills such as gardening and cooking. I like to keep active, enjoying running, swimming, hiking and yoga. My job involves using my GIS, Excel/Data Analyst skills for a company that creates habitats for protected species. This means I am also great with computers and I am happy to help with anything along those lines, especially if you need Excel help.
My work in conservation, including habitay surveys and managment also means I am adapted to taking on physically challenging work, in any weather. I am strong and fit, willing to learn, and capable of carrying out challenging work. I enjoy gardening, cultivating my own small garden as well being part of community garden projects. I would love to build on my knowledge on permaculture and growing food.
Me and my partner, Ben, have enjoyed working in charity and conservation work for the last few years. During this time, we have done up our small campervan, Lexy, and travelled around the UK and France in our time off. Soon, we start a big move from the UK to Australia and we are looking for some opportunities to see the country before we settle in for the long term.
I am a good cook (mostly vegetarian, but not completely), gardener and keen learner. I have experience and enjoy working with children too. I hope we can find a place we can put our skills to good use with like-minded people, and explore beautiful parts of the world too! -
