Welcome to our profile :)

We are Shreeya and Deminkha - 2 friends looking to explore the world and learn about different cultures. We believe that travelling should be a mutually beneficial experience that is grounded in the real lived experiences of those who are opening their homes to us. We have experience in digital marketing, website design, social media, yoga, software engineering, creative arts, teaching, and childcare.

Shreeya is a software engineer who loves connecting with people and animals, reading, surfing, painting, meditating and exploring the outdoors.

Deminkha is a decolonial researcher and writer currently doing communications at a local NGO. In her free time you will find her hiking, learning, doing something creative, or spending time with her community.

We come from South Africa, a beautiful country with diversity not just in nature but also culture. South Africa has a rich history that has very much shaped us to be the people that we are today. People that value kindness, empathy, connection and uplifting others.

We are so eager to dedicate ourselves to your cause and excited to explore the ways in which we can add value to one another’s lives. If our paths do cross we can guarantee that we will bring hard work, good vibes and great humour.

Shreeya is a fluent English speaker who loves learning new languages and has experience providing one-on-one tutoring to children. Deminkha is also a fluent English speaker and has spent a year working as an English teacher in Korea and is thus very comfortable in classroom settings. She is also currently wanting to learn Arabic, and improve her Zulu and Korean

Shreeya is a software engineer with a creative eye and an analytical mind. She has also been practising yoga and meditation since the age of 9 and loves to share this special practise with the world. She loves all things creative and spends a lot of her free time painting.

Deminkha is a decolonial researcher and writer with a Masters in Gender Studies: Intersectionality and Change. Her research focused on accessible education and its link to the creative arts. Channeling this passion she honed her skills in digital marketing, website design, photography and content creation. She is currently leading the communications for a local NGO.

Both Deminkha and Shreeya have extensive experience with teaching children and are fluent first language English speakers.
