Description
I am a 28 years old and grew up in Durham, North Carolina, but am currently in the mountains of NC. I recently went on a life changing biking and sewing trip in the American Southwest, and I am eager to keep exploring different parts of the country. I am excited about bikes, sewing and mending repairs, and learning and growing in community. I love connecting with people and learning their stories. In my free time, I like to get lost in a book, snuggle with my cat Lentil, go on long bike rides, do craft projects, and share meals and moments with loved ones. I have job experience in the service sector, child care, education, non-profits, and farming/outdoors, and am generally handy and a quick learner. I appreciate clear communication and a sense of curiosity and silliness!

I studied Spanish in university and have travelled in various Spanish speaking countries. I have not been using my Spanish as much recently for various reasons, but I am always looking to practice and connect with other people in this language. I have skills in building and am very practical. I am great with kids and can do lessons as well as craft projects and love to play. I have cared for all kinds of animals. I am competent in computers and social media. I have excellent communication skills and can write and edit or blog if necessary. I am a good cook with experience cooking for large groups with varying dietary restrictions, and I am tidy and able to clean up after myself and others. I am flexible and dynamic and respectful! I am also easy going and have a solid sense of humor :)

I am a curious and thoughtful person. I enjoy games and activities of all sorts, from card games to soccer to biking, hiking, swimming and ping pong. I am always eager for an adventure. I also enjoy my down time and my solitude. I have a practice of meditating, journaling, and generally slowing down in order to center myself and reflect on life. I am crafty and creative and good at fixing things. I enjoying knitting, crocheting, jewelry making and hand-sewing, as well as collaging and needle felt. I spend a lot of time in my garden and love sharing home cooked meals with friends.
