Description
Hey there, my name is Daniela I’m a professional ballet dancer from Colombia.
After a year traveling around Europe, volunteering through Workaway, I decided to move to Chicago where I found an opportunity to dance and teach Classical ballet.
After 5 years living in Chicago, I'm planning on taking couple of months off to travel around the United States.
I consider myself an open-minded person willing to learn differents skills, respectful, responsible and charismatic.
I also believe I'm a versatile person ( something I learned during my years living abroad )
I'm a nature and animal lover.
Apart from my career as a professional dancer and teacher, I also studied environmental engineering, which helped me a lot to develop skills in ecological and sustainable projects.
In some volunteer work I have done I have been able to develop customer service, hospitality and housework skills, as well as help with childcare.
I speak 2 languages fluently ( Spanish, English) and I am learning my third, Italian.
I hope to find a host with whom I can connect, learn, help and share all my knowledge and experiences that I have acquired as a workawayer.

Traveling and volunteering have helped me, improving my ability to communicate and connect with others, it has helped me adapt easily, understand different cultures and be more curious about the world.
I also had the opportunity to work on different environmental and ecological projects, helping with forest management. It is something that I have always been passionate about since I have always had an interest in the environment and social development, perhaps that was why I studied environmental engineering.
I have also been able to develop other very useful skills such as customer service and hospitality, as well as help with childcare, gardening and care of domestic and farm animals.
I always seek to enrich my knowledge, work on new skills, learn and share.
