Hi there. I’m Yuyan from China, and I'll soon be finishing my Master's degree in the UK.

I would describe myself as a kind, thoughtful and romantic person. I love playing the piano, painting, literature, and of course traveling. I’m also a big football fan and enjoy different kinds of sports.🎹

During my time studying in England, I've made the most of every holiday by going on solotrips. What once felt scary has gradually become one of my favorite ways to experience the world. 🌏

My perspective on travel has also changed a lot. I used to be the kind of traveler who rushed from one famous landmark to another, trying to capture the perfect photo. But after two Workaway experiences, I've come to appreciate a slower, meaningful way of traveling—staying in one place for a while, connecting with locals, and experiencing everyday life. Travel always heals me.❤️

Creativity is a big part of my life. I enjoy painting, handmade crafts, and artistic projects, especially traditional Chinese landscape painting and seal carving. I'm quite good at designing and making creative items. During my last Workaway in France, I designed a swan mosaic, and made decorations for a party, including carving words onto stones that combined English, French, and Chinese calligraphy.

I’m a clean and tidy person and I enjoy keeping spaces comfortable and organised.
I’m always happy to help with light household tasks.

I really enjoy spending time with children. I’m patient and easygoing, and I’d be happy to help with language practice, drawing, or creative activities.
