  • Description

We are two best friends looking to work on the land, with animals and people and to explore new cultures.

We met studying for our undergraduate degrees at Bath Spa University; Cora Psychology and Megan English Literature and Creative writing.

We are both caring, creative and enthusiastic hard working people (both fully covid-19 vaccinated). Cora comes from a busy London life currently working for the NHS, and Megan from a Camphill Community, a charity that enables adults with learning difficulties to lead a life of opportunity in the Forest of Dean.

Our interests are sustainability, singing, art, poetry and pottery. Anywhere with an inspiring rugged landscape, meaningful work and a place with animals would be ideal.

We’re looking for our third workaway experience and are very happy to get stuck in, get our hands dirty and learn new skills.

  • More details about your skills

We are both creative and enthusiastic people willing to learn new skills and work on the land, alongside new people and cultures.

We are interested in volunteering on an eco project, Organic or Biodynamic farm or garden with animals, as we have previous short term volunteer experience of this in Ireland and France and really enjoyed it. For example, mucking out, milking cows and feeding pigs, whilst helping the farmer plant his crops.

We are willing to cook, clean and help out where needed. We would love to get involved with a creative project.

Megan is a writer, specialising in poetry, who has grown up attending a Steiner School, whilst working with people with learning difficulties in a Camphill Community. She enjoys working on the land and cooking healthy family meals, and has a holistic outlook on life, care and work.

We both have experience of working and looking after children, and so we would love to help out in anyway we can.

Megan has volunteered at Green & Away, an eco conference centre, where she was part of the hospitality team, welcoming guests, cleaning yurts and eco toilets as well as running the cafe tent. She has an art A-level and an interest in painting, poetry and conservation.

We both have experience of social media, a creative eye and are passionate about photography, editing and helping you to create your dream projects.

Cora is a singer, a creative who currently works for the NHS in London. She is kind, works well with dogs, and has great people skills. She is interested in sustainability, and the music industry. She is organised, has skills in painting and decorating and has an interest in conservation.

We are both seeking to travel in order gain new skills, experiences, and to meet interesting people.

We would love to work on the land, help out with DIY projects and create brilliant memories.
