Hi everyone, my name is Carola, and this is my first time writing on a platform like this. I'm here because my main goal is to learn English. I have basic English, but I struggle with conversation, so I'd like to connect with people who can teach me this language through daily conversations and lots of practice! :) I live in Piedmont, in northern Italy. I've been working in an advertising agency as an art director for about 18 years. I love photography, and when I can, I submit my projects to international photography competitions. I love music. I love interacting with people and expanding my knowledge. I love traveling, often alone. I play squash when I can and take part in some tournaments with my gym group.

I'm taking a sabbatical from work to come to Ireland and connect with people who have the patience to teach me their culture and language. I can't wait! I need this sabbatical to recharge and have a life experience that will help me grow as a person. I'm very good at cleaning the house, managing daily chores, and preparing meals (I'm Italian, haha). I'm very adaptable and a calm, positive person. I hope to soon meet someone who'd like to host me and have a wonderful experience with me. Who knows, maybe I could even come and live in Ireland. :)

I enjoy having fun with people, whether it's board games or any other form of entertainment that allows me to connect with others. I love photography, and in fact, I'm working on personal projects that I enter into international photography competitions. I love cooking, like a good Italian! I enjoy reading and finding time for myself to recharge. I love music; in fact, you'll often see me with headphones on!

I spent six wonderful months with Mona, Ron, Kye, Jack, and all of their adorable four-legged friends. What can I say? They are an amazing family, full of energy, love, and incredible food!

I came to Ireland to improve my English and take some time for myself, and staying with them turned out to be one of the best experiences I could have hoped for.
The love and care that Mona and Ron put into everyday life are truly inspiring. They make you feel like part of the family from the very beginning. Time seems to slow down here, and everything takes on a different pace and perspective. There are always lots of friends stopping by to visit, so the house is constantly full of life. There's always someone to chat with—even if my English wasn't always up to the task! 😅

There aren't enough words to describe how wonderful Mona is. She is a woman full of love and energy for her family and her home.You'll always find a friend in her, someone to share a cup of tea with and have a lovely conversation. And then there's Ron—the most relaxed man I've ever met Haha, I definitely need him to teach me how to be that calm! He's an incredible chef, and his zabaglione is absolutely delicious.
Jack and Kye are two wonderful young guys, always kind, friendly, and ready to help. The most beautiful part of this experience was finding people who made me feel like a friend, a daughter, and a sister. We shared so many laughs, beautiful landscapes, and unforgettable moments together. ❤️

Get ready to enjoy the incredible meals that Mona and Ron prepare every evening—I can only say, wow! There was always something new to discover: a different spice, a special sauce, or a unique ingredient that made every meal absolutely delicious. They are both fantastic cooks!
My daily tasks included looking after the kitchen, making the beds, and doing the laundry. Everything was very straightforward, and I had plenty of free time, so it never felt demanding. I also often took Bazzy and Ezra, their two adorable dogs, for long walks through the beautiful Irish countryside, and it was simply breathtaking.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this experience so special and filling it with memories that I will treasure forever. I will always carry a little piece of your family with me.
