Hi there- I´m Carmen! I recently completed my studies in Environmental Science and am now taking some time to explore, connect, and gain new experiences through travel.. I’m new to Workaway, but like many people here, I’m excited about traveling, meeting inspiring individuals, sharing experiences, and learning from different perspectives around the world.

I would describe myself as open-minded, reliable, and easy-going. I get along well with people of all ages (including animals!). I truly enjoy being outdoors, whether it’s long walks in nature, swimming, cycling, or simply spending time outside.
Living in community feels natural to me. I am respectful, tidy, and considerate when sharing a home, and I adapt easily to new environments and routines.
Through my studies, I spent four months in Spain and later traveled to Chile and Ecuador. I also gained experience with farm work and conservation projects in a nature reserve in Ecuador. These experiences strengthened my appreciation for sustainable living, biodiversity, and working closely with local communities.

What motivates me most is growth, connection, and the opportunity to contribute to something meaningful. I am curious by nature and always eager to learn new skills — whether practical, cultural, or personal. I’m happy to share my own skills and energy in return, and I value honest communication.

I’m looking forward to discovering new places, meeting inspiring people, contributing where I can, and creating experiences that truly matter.

Through my background in Environmental Science, I have developed a understanding of sustainability, biodiversity, and conservation. I experienced a farm work and conservation projects in Ecuador.
I speak German (my native language), English fluently, and Spanish.
I teach swimming and genuinely enjoy supporting children as they learn new skills and gain confidence. This has strengthened my patience, sense of responsibility, and ability to create a safe, encouraging environment.
Having lived and worked abroad, I am adaptable and open-minded.
