Hello, potential future hosts & friends! After living in several cities in the US, I settled in Vail, CO for 11 years where I loved to ski, mountain bike, hike, partake in plenty of other outdoor adventures, meditate, and enjoy the gorgeous mountain surroundings. Yet again, my heart was calling for a new direction. I left the US 11/23 and have been solo traveling ever since. I've had a mix of slow and fast travel, but prefer mid - longer stays.

I joined WorkAway to have a more enriching experience connecting with people in unique ways, and open my heart and eyes to worlds I may have potentially never considered, as well as to contribute and add value to people's lives! I love enjoying meals with people while getting to know each other.

I started traveling at a young age, one of the highlights being sailing around the world on Semester at Sea (see "What else" below) in college. I find traveling offers infinite opportunities for continuous growth and expansion.

I love natural beauty, sunshine, food, and coffee. I appreciate being by or close to the sea, and swimming whenever possible! It is a priority to connect with like-hearted people and enjoy fulfilling human connection. I am social yet need time alone to recharge. And I am content solo for extended periods--but it is summer, which is my favorite time to get out, socialize and meet new people!

I enjoy transforming spaces. Organizing and bringing more zen comes easily and is something I like doing.

I'm naturally very curious and interested in new things and love learning. I'm a quick study, self-starter, and often see ways I can add value.

As a kid, I helped out on my uncle's potato farm, anything from picking potatoes, blueberries, or apples, collecting and carrying wood for fires, and tidying up around the farm. I also spent time in my family and my grandma's gardens. I have a comfort and familiarity with farms and gardens, but am not an expert.

I know my way around a kitchen, but have personally kept my cooking and eating very simple in recent years, though I plan on getting back in the kitchen, preparing meals, and helping prep them.

Overall, I am well-organized, detail-oriented, and like to keep things clean and orderly, and not afraid to get my hands dirty! I have cared for homes over the years. Decorated and designed them. I am very good at getting rid of things that don't add value to make the best use of space. I grew up around boats and owned a boat for a short time. Entertaining is in my blood, but recently I have been on a quieter path. I can be social or do quite well on my own.

I have a BS in Economics, Business Minor & MS in Accounting I've worked many different jobs over the years. Everything from serving (to ski more in CO!), various positions in health and wellness (health coach, clean beauty products educator, supplement), experience in the ski industry selling products, high-end retail, production & stylist assistant for a moment (LA), started a website to inspire women to live the life of their dreams in a vlog format showcasing women in many different areas of expertise (Chicago), executive recruiter & tax consultant (NYC).

*Semester at Sea - Sailed on a small cruise ship with 650 students taking classes in between stops in 2001. Began in Vancouver and traveled to Japan, Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, Singapore, India, Seychelles, South Africa, Brazil, Cuba, and ended in Miami.
