Hello everybody, my name is Carlotta, I’m 19 years old and from Hamburg, Germany.
German is my mother tongue, my English is fluent as I spent 8 month in New Zealand in 2023 visiting Whakatane High school.

I live in a large family with cousins who are younger than me. My grandparents are still alive, and I have a very close and trusting relationship with them. I’m also very close to my younger sister, Luisa.

Since my childhood I spent a lot of time in the countryside in the northern part of Germany (Schlei region and the Island of Sylt). I love spending time in the nature as well as spending time with any kind of pets and animals. I’ve been horse riding for over 10 years and I’m comfortable at walk, trot and canter. I get along very well with animals, especially dogs and horses.

I go to the gym and enjoy doing sports.

During my time with Workaway, I'd like to live with a family where I can help out with the animals and do small farming tasks as part of daily life, and above all, I'd like to learn new things about gardening and farming.

We grew up in the city but have always spent a lot of time in the countryside, where I was able to ride horses a lot on the weekends.

At home, my sister and I have to do laundry and help with cooking and grocery shopping.

I worked at an ice cream shop in the summers of 2024 and 2025. After my confirmation at our church, I completed training to become a youth group leader and helped out at church events and on a youth retreat.

At my school, I was a grade-level representative and student body president. I also helped organize the prom.

I have very good interpersonal skills because I’m a calm, level-headed, and thoughtful person. I’m friendly and funny, and I can express myself well in English because I spent 8 months at a high school in Whakatane, where I lived with a host family that had a dog.

I hardly ever drink alcohol, and I don’t smoke.

I really enjoy baking and am good at cooking. I'm very creative and love to paint and do crafts.
