I'm a third year college student from San Francisco and Santa Barbara studying abroad in Wellington, New Zealand from February to June 2026, so I'm looking for somewhere in New Zealand to work and explore before my trimester starts in mid-February. I study plant ecology and am interested in getting my hands dirty gardening and farming but am flexible helping out wherever I can!

I enjoy hiking, running, and surfing so I'm really keen on joining any outings during my Workaway stay. I also love cooking, gardening, and spending time with animals - I grew up in urban San Francisco but have always wanted to experience life remote from the city.

I have experience planting, repotting, and gardening in general since I intern at the biology greenhouse at my home university. I also have general botany and ecology knowledge from my studies. And I'm happy to spend time with young ones too having worked as a camp counselor at the SF Botanical Garden last summer!

I'm also happy to help lift or move heavy objects having previously worked as a stagehand, and I'm in good physical condition since I run and exercise often. I also enjoy helping around the kitchen since I love to cook, bake, and eat.
