I am a retired classroom teacher. I taught mostly primary grades for about 30 years, but I've also worked with adults learning English and those wanting to improve their reading skills. I enjoy working with people who want to learn.

I have a Masters' Degree in education with an emphasis in teaching reading. I have experience teaching young children as well as adults who want to improve their reading abilities or learn English. I taught in the United States as well as overseas in Germany, the Philippines, Okinawa, and the Dominican Republic. In June of 2023 I spent 5 months volunteering in Nepal teaching English as a second language in a small private school in Kathmandu. I also spent 2 months traveling India and volunteered in an after school program for a few weeks. I enjoy giving back to the world by helping in schools that need an extra hand. My hobbies are reading. weaving, and gardening.
