Description
We are a registered Child Care Centre. The school which has over 50 Amazing children is located in the Manhyia constituency in Kumasi where we have the Manhyia Palace. The palace is the seat of the Asantehene, the king of Ashanti Kingdom. We aim to provide quality and inclusive childhood development services to the children in the community through play, dance and singing. Many of our children come from difficult backgrounds and therefore require a lot of care, attention, encouragement and most importantly companionship. The experience of helping vulnerable children, while it can be emotionally difficult, is a positive and a life changing one. Volunteers supply critical support to the teachers at the centre who are greatly under resourced. The children greatly benefit from the support and attention that they receive from volunteers who are appreciated by the local teachers and the children. Volunteers will help on a multitude of tasks within the centre, helping to run daily activities and supply the care and education these children deserve.
