Description
My name is April and I am an Adventure Guide from Australia.
Travelling is my biggest passion. I travel to meet and connect with people, no matter who they are because I feel everyone has something I can learn from. I feel so much gratitude when people share their interests. Whether it is fun hobbies like skateboarding, hiking or cooking or a field of work like building, hospitality or caring for the environment, it makes me happy to learn from and about other people’s passions.
I believe that travelling and leaving the environment you grew up in is a necessity. It's very rewarding to step out of your comfort zone and do your best to understand how other people and cultures.
My best environments are surrounded by high-energy positive people, on an adventure or in nature. In my hometown of Bright, I have a great family and friends so caring for people and the friendships they offer is something that I appreciate very highly.
I have previously worked at Falls Creek Ski Resort which is a huge ski resort in Australia as well as Big Cove YMCA Summer Camp in Canada. I have spent the past two years working at a party hostel for the duration of Oktoberfest in Germany. I have also volunteered in rural Cusco, Peru, building a school as well as teaching music and sports to children.
I am fun-loving, determined and able to run my hand to anything.

I am an international Adventure Guide, I get flown abroad to facilitate and run School Trips in other countries. I am very multi-talented and great at hospitality and communication.
In Australia, I work as an Adventure Guide in the mountains, taking sports such as multi-day hikes, snow sports, rope sports, white water paddling and cultural immersions.
On Workaway, I have experience in all the following roles: party hostel work, working in ski resorts, reception for businesses, personal development youth program volunteer, professional photography, running events, bar tending, etc...
