Hi my name is Andre - my ambition is to travel and volunteer in Spain & Portugal for 9 - 12 months from June 2026 onwards. I hope to find open-minded hosts and volunteers to spend time with using this platform and also wwoofing.

I started on the 8th June and I'm currently spending 3 weeks on an organic farm near Zarautz (using wwoof.es)

Music brings me great happiness, and I'd love to share and listen to other people's tastes. to go to live music events / local festivals.

Spending time with friends and family
Arts & culture - I'm a big film buff, and while I'm not an art expert I enjoy going to galleries.
History and local heritage is a passion of mine and I'll visit museums and local historical sites whenever I can.

I studied Sustainable Horticulture & Permaculture (1 year course) in 2021/2022 - and so I have a decent intuition when it comes to gardening, growing vegetables, and caring for hedgerows in a way that respects wildlife and biodiversity. I have to say I've only grown the basics (like potatoes, onions, garlic, cucumber, lettuces, beetroots) over the last couple of years, so I'd also like to learn in that regard.

I've worked as an oyster farmer for the last 6 years - and I have operated heavy machinery (JCB teleporter) in that time, and can also drive a boat. Working out on the water in different conditions, and having to communicate very well with my colleagues on the boat to make sure we all keep safe, has defintely taught me how important clear and concise communication is when working.

I'm good at listening to instructions and advice being given .

I studied Commerce for in university for 2 years. But I still have a keen interest in different aspects of businesses, and can teach try my best to teach people how to get started in investing in the stock market if people are interested. Though just to clarify I would just be teaching the fundamentals and can share some great resources on how to begin learning, rather than just telling people what to invest in of course.
