Description

An outdoorsy girl from the south west of Ireland! I have embarked on a gap year and would love to try new experiences and meet new people, all while maintaining a strong connection to the outdoors and doing activities that fulfil me most. Climbing, hiking and trail running are three of my biggest passions at the moment, and I'm aggressively mediocre at them all, but have so much fun regardless! I'm happiest when I've spent a day (or more) disconnected from reality, soaking up the pleasures of slow living. A day spent fully outdoors and on the go is a day well spent for me. Asides from outdoorsy activities, spending time with people I value, cooking a meal together, playing cards or board games or having a sing song are other activities I find fulfilling!

I am an outdoors enthusiast! I'm happiest when I've spent a day on the go in the outdoors. I'm not afraid of some physical chores, and would describe myself as a quick learner. I have experience in the hospitality industry, having worked as a front of house staff in a ticket office, handling with payments, answering phone calls and preforming closing duties of counting cash and recording tickets sold. Also worked as part of a catering team in a kids camp, and was responsible for managing the smooth-running of the meal service for up to 200 people, serving meals with professional and skill. Responsible for some admin duties such as stock taking and control, preparing rosters, creating meal plans for special dietary requests and served as a point of contact between the catering team and management staff. Carried out thorough cleaning and dish washing duties. Also have experience volunteering as a climbing instructor, hike leader and orienteering coach in 2 clubs in my university. I hold executive positions in both these clubs.
