Description
Hi there! My name is Anna and I am an American currently getting my master's degree in Paris. My program ends this December and I am planning to do some travel through Asia once completed. I have always loved traveling and the exchanging of cultures. I love nature, animals, hiking+climbing, cooking and being around funny and kind people. I am also very interested in the practice of yoga both culturally as well as in physical practice which I currently take part in every day. One of my favorite things about traveling other than hearing people's stories is trying new foods, as I am never one to shy out of a dish. Traveling comes with so many challenges, and I feel as though that is when I grow the most. I'm a hard worker and easy going- I'm hoping that workaway will connect me with people who I can learn from and vice versa, and hopefully get some new foods and laughs in there as well :)

When it comes to my skills, I would say first and foremost I am a people person. My previous jobs include working in teams as well as in customer service. I have been working in restaurants my entire life and find ease in communicating with others as well as having a positive attitude. Ambition is another quality I hold which results in me being goal oriented and driven. This comes from my love of learning. My degrees include a bachelor's in computer science with a minor in religious studies and a master's in combined human rights and data science. I have chosen to take a statistical approach in my studies of culture and the freedoms of people. My previous work in this field has begun with basic data processing, such as web traffic analysis. Although I don't expect this expertise to be used necessarily during my workaway experience, I think it shows my discipline and highlights my interest in cultures.
