Description
Hi! I’m Andrea, a French girl who loves travelling, nature and animals :)
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Languages and International Business, specialising in English and Spanish. It was a three-year degree that I completed in September 2019. I spent two years studying in France and one year in Spain. Living abroad made me realise how much I enjoy travelling, meeting new people, discovering different cultures and learning from the people around me.
After that experience, I decided to go even further and moved to Canada on a Working Holiday Visa. I ended up spending two years there.
I first worked for a few months at a bioparc, which was my first opportunity to work closely with animals. I then moved to British Columbia, where I spent about a year and a half working on a Thoroughbred breeding and racing farm. I was totally new to this world, I feel really lucky to have ended up at a place where the horses’ well-being was genuinely a priority, from the people looking after them to the trainers. The horses’ health, comfort and individual needs always came first, and I learned so much there.
This experience also made me realise that I really love to learn. There is always something more to understand. I’m curious, motivated and eager to keep learning and gaining experience.
I’m now preparing for my next adventure in Peru, where I would love to discover the country through its people and culture.
I’m a responsible, caring and respectful person, and I’m used to physical work and outdoor life. Most importantly, I’m coming with an open mind and a real willingness to learn, help and contribute. -

More details about your skills
I’m quite versatile and always happy to learn something new. I have a lot of hands-on experience with horses and farm work, including feeding, mucking out, grooming, turnout, hand-walking, basic treatments and wrapping, foaling and newborn foal care, weaning and halter training. I’m also comfortable with early mornings and physical work.
I’ve been around different animals all my life, including dogs, cats, chickens, geese and goats, so I’m comfortable caring for animals and paying attention to their behaviour. I’m quite observant and usually notice when something seems different or not quite right.
Outside of animals, I enjoy cooking, I’m happy to help with household chores, and I like being useful and contributing wherever I can. -
