Description
I'm currently taking a gap year. I have worked as a barista in a cafe, and as a tutor. I still do some tutoring online for a few hours 2-3 days a week, and would like to continue with that if possible.
Now, I'm looking to explore the world a little more. I'm particularly interested in going to Spanish-speaking countries, as I'd like to improve my Spanish.
I'm most excited to meet new people, encounter new ideas, and better understand different world views.
I'm from a big city but would love to spend more time in nature as I enjoy outdoor activities.
I have some experience in the garden, assisting children and elderly people. I'd love to learn about sustainable living and building practices.
I would prefer to work with other volunteers -

More details about your skills
I've worked in a small cafe in central London, which taught me how to juggle lots of tasks at once.
I enjoy cooking, and baking, and would love to share some of my recipes.
I have some experience with babysitting, and also volunteered at a local primary school for a few weeks. I helped children aged 4-6 in the classroom and playground.
I volunteered in Lourdes in July 2024. This involved accompanying and assisting elderly people who used wheelchairs to where they wanted to go.
At home, I've done some garden tasks, mostly weeding, planting, and painting the fences. I'm interested in learning more about gardening, sustainable living, and building. I have no experience with building but would really like to learn as I think it's a valuable skill. -

What else ...
I enjoy hiking and exploring natural landscapes.
I also like playing board and card games with friends and family. Some of my favourites include Uno, Jenga, and Ticket To Ride.
I love to read both fiction and non-fiction.
I do not have a driving license. I tend to use public transport to travel larger distances.
I have hayfever, but in recent years, it hasn't been so bad, and I am still able to work in the garden.
I try to have a balanced diet. I occassionally eat meat, but would easily adapt to a vegetarian diet. -
