Hola!
We are Alyssa (blonde) and Zoe (brunette)!

We are two newly graduated friends planning a celebratory trip to Spain this May. I (Alyssa) have recently graduated with a degree in Environmental Horticulture and Zoe has just graduated with a degree in Earth & Climate Science and was 5 credits away from graduating with a minor en Español.

We hope to learn about new cultures, self sustainability, and food production systems of the regions: while also learning new skills, practicing Spanish, and making friends along the way! We individually hope to make a community sustained homestead in our futures.

Alyssa: I am a hard worker when the work is benefiting the community. I always have a positive attitude and try to lift others up even on the rainiest of days.

I (Alyssa) have spent the past three years studying Environmental Horticulture and Sustainable Agriculture at the University of Maine. Learning about plant and human relationships has always been one of my biggest passions. While studying I have sustained a job working on a small organic vegetable farm in Maine. Besides working on a farm and studying agriculture, I grew up spending most of the summer days working in my family's large garden. I am able to cook vegetarian meals with harvested food and preserve much of it for winter.

Outside of agriculture I (Zoe) have spent a couple years babysitting as a side job and I love teaching any subject! I do not have much experience with building but as a child I was always building tree forts and I love the idea of learning new skills in nature. I have worked in the restaurant industry as a waitress and hostess for many years now so my personal communication skills are clear.
