Hi, I'm Alexander! I'm a 20 years old, and I’m from Denmark. I’ve just started my gap year, and I’m now looking for Workaway-experiences around the world, in order to see and experience my destinations in a meaningful and deep way. I'm curious, open, outgoing, helpful and kind. I like cooking, reading, running, partying, and I've always been good in school. I love a good discussion and I love being challenged and enlightened by people with other views, knowledge, and values. As you can hear, I'm a man of many interests, which also makes it hard for me to decide what I want to spend the rest of my life doing! I'm hoping this gap-year will help me clear that up, as I hope to get countless first-hand experiences of new cultures, traditions, skills, values and what ever else might come my way.
I'm incredibly eager to have a ton of new experiences, learn a bunch of things, and meet all kinds of new people. I hope I'll get the chance to have the experiences your project offers and meet the people taking part in it!

I’m always curious and outgoing to everyone I meet, which means I am pretty much always able to get along very well with others! When I was younger I travelled to the US for a year on high school exchange, and have just finished an economics oriented high school in Denmark. I have also had a part time job on the side since I was 13 years old. I have always travelled a lot with my family, and I have also had several solo-traveling experiences. More recently I have have gotten more practical, social and travel experience by volunteering in an NGO in Ukraine, and at a permaculture farm in Italy.

What else ...

The most interesting thing for me is meeting and being influenced by other people. I find it very valuable whenever I can discuss something with someone different from myself.
More specifically, I really enjoy cooking and I always love learning about local food culture. I would really enjoy gaining some new cooking knowledge and experience, and perhaps even pass on some of the food from my own country!
