Hi, I'm Jess! I'm from England and I've been living in Spain for 6 years. I am an English teacher, but since spending 3 months on the Camino de Santiago in 2023, I've been wanting to change my life. I enjoy hiking, calisthenics, reading and learning about people's lives and cultures. I play the piano, and I am usually learning a language! I'm pretty relaxed and flexible when it comes to daily life, work schedule and living together, and I try to be considerate of the people around me. My experience as an English teacher and also travelling means I'm able to get on with people from all kinds of different backgrounds!

I'm an English and piano teacher and Spanish-English translator, so I'm happy to help with translation and learning English or piano (for any age!).
Besides teaching I have worked on farms (harvesting fruits and vegetables), in hotels and restaurants, and running educational outdoor activities for children.
My recent volunteering experience includes milking cows, making butter and other dairy products, collecting and stacking firewood, helping to run an albergue on the Camino de Santiago, cat-sitting, and taking care of pigs and chickens. I'm good at following instructions and I enjoy working hard!
