Newly retired couple with “servant hearts”
We both grew up in rural areas of Texas - Shane on a cotton farm on the high plains and Ann on a peanut farm and ranch in central Texas. We are both adventurous and have excellent work ethics. Our goals for early retirement include traveling the world, meeting people, and offering service where we can to help others achieve their goals.

Shane’s degree is in Agriculture Education from Texas A&M and in his career has been an Agriculture Extension Agent, Ag Teacher, and highway construction quality control manager. His areas of knowledge range from plant and animal sciences to basic construction techniques.

Ann’s degree is in Home Economics Education and for 17 years taught traditional home economics courses including nutrition, cooking, sewing, child development, consumer skills, and interior design. During this time we owned and operated a small scale catering company. For the past 18 years she has been a high school culinary arts lead chef instructor and managed the student run restaurant serving 600-1000 people per week

We have been married for 38 years and have two children (37 & 36 years old) and two grandchildren. Our shared hobbies include golfing, snow skiing, traveling, wine tasting, cooking and minor renovation projects. Shane's other interests include gardening and taking care of animals while Ann enjoys sewing and decorating.

What a joy to have this couple at our farm.. both were sociable, friendly and extremely hard working.. I could not keep up with Shane.. he is that dedicated.. I would get up and find he had already started the chores.. you could not find a more dlightful couple

WOW - Joseph was our first workaway experience and it was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! There were so many opportunities to work on the farm and help mark items off his "to do list"!
