Hello I'm Zach from Minnestoa USA. I love being outdoors and doing anything involving nature like foraging, bouldering, and hiking! I also enjoy listening to live music, doing yoga, and meditating!

  • Description

Hello I'm Zach Prettyman and learning, experiencing, and sharing all of what life has to offer is what motivates me!

I love learning about different cultures, their different plants and animals, their people, their history, their customs, their foods and their philosophies. I like to learn new skills, about different hobbies, about how to create different kinds of art, and different ways of living life.

I'm motivated by having new unique experiences. I want to put myself in new situations and am willing to get out of my comfort zone. I especially love being in nature!

I'm looking to work on a permaculture project. I've always been interested in sustainability and regenerative agriculture. I hope to someday start my own permaculture project, so I would love to learn anything you're willing to teach!

I value clean healthy living and am working to undo some of the bad habits I developed while growing up. This includes eating clean natural foods, practicing meditation, doing yoga, and limiting unhealthy media consumption.

Meeting new people is one of my favorite parts of being alive and feel I have a lot to offer and even more to learn in any cultural exchange I might have! I hope to do what I can to enrich your life while still respecting your boundaries. I am very capable of entertaining myself, especially when in nature!

I very much appreciate you taking the time to read my profile and hope you consider me to help you grow in your permaculture journey!

  • More details about your skills

I've had years of experience with both skilled and unskilled labor. I have extensive experience working on roofs, working with sheet metal, working with power tools, and working with hand tools. I have moderate experience carpentry work and concrete work, since I used build and install kitchens and pour concrete driveways but I'm a few years out of practice.

For the past two years I've been a nationally certified wildlife technician. So I have a lot of experience in dealing with animals in a safe and humane manner. This also means I'm not afraid of getting dirty, and honestly I sort of enjoy it! For the past year I've been training new technicians. Some days I have up to three apprentices working under me on a job site, so I know how to communicate and lead well.

I know I can be a big help to any project or task you give me! I'm a fast learner and a creative problem solver, so no need to worry about having to repeat instructions or giving me constant guidance. No work is beneath me, whether its long tedious work or backbreaking labor. I pride myself in getting along with people as well as being very self motivated. So whether you need to work as a team or to be independent I can be of help!

Looking forward to helping your permaculture project grow, and I hope to grow along the way as well!

    Some additional info about me:
I studied Entrepreneurship and Philosophy in college.
I opened and ran a nonprofit clothing upcycling store for 6 months a few years ago, so I have experience with charity work.
My favorite animals are ducks, whenever I get to see a new species I get overjoyed!
I have an interest in beekeeping and growing mycelium, so if someone around your community knows about either of those I'd love to learn!!
