Hi everyone! My name is Marcello, I'm 25 years old, from Italy. I created this workaway account for the only purpose of visiting and exploring Germany as much as possible. I will begin traveling in october 2023 and hopefully see for myself all the greatest beauties of this great country. I've always wanted to visit Germany and now I can.
I've been living in Italy all my life, first going through school and then to university where I studied physics, but I decided to pause my uni career to travel.
I love hanging out with people, love music, especially Metallica (yeah!) and love working day jobs.
Since 2015 I worked with my parents every summer helping as a barista. My work schedule has always been full in summer. I can work every day, with no pause, but I hope there will be some in my workaway experiences since I would also love to visit places during my days off!.
Overall, I decided to finally travel pausing my uni career because I simply couldn't wait to visit Germany and the time of my graduation just seemed like a year away, too much!.
I have plenty of interests, I love space travel, electric cars, nature, and... twitter, and much more.
I will be traveling with the hope that I could also find myself and what I would like to do in adulthood.
Can't wait to meet incredible people during my journey.
Of course, I would LOVE to learn speak german!

With regard to manual work:
-- from summer 2015 to summer 2023: worked as a barista from june to september every year at a beach bar in Liguria, Italy, a place full of tourists during the summertime. Work consisted in doing coffees, lattes, everything barista related, except for alcoholic drinks. Also helped as a waiter at the same beach bar and doing cleaning. Work consisted in being there from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day, without a day off.
-- from 2022 to spring 2023: I voluntereed at a italian language learning school for immigrants in the city of Corbetta, near Milan. The school's name is "Scuola senza frontiere". I helped kids aged 6-19 doing homework, two to three nights a week.
--from 9th of September to 6th of October 2023 I voluntereed through workaway at a campsite serving guests to the Oktoberfest in Munich. Work consisted in setting up the tents and the whole camp, general maintainence, reception, processing reservations and payments and bringing the whole camp down at the end of the festival.
I enjoy interacting with clients at the bar, always with a big smile on.
