Hello, my name is Uliana, I am a first time Workawayer. I've lived in Vancouver, BC for the last 17 years. Currently I am working on writing and illustrating children's books.
I grew up on a small hobby farm until I was 12 when my family moved to Canada. My dream is to have a property where I can teach children and host artists, complete with a large garden and an orchard.
I want to use this time to learn from others and grow a community of likeminded individuals who I would be able to invite to my home one day.
I have worked as a speech arts teacher for over five years and have a theatre background. I love kids and am currently nannying my three months old niece and two year old nephew. I love all expressions of creativity and am a seasoned crafter. I enjoy cooking and baking as well as learning about food and nutrition.
I love reading and enjoy history, movies and music. I love nature, growing up in Vancouver I was fortunate to experience the ocean in my backyard. Which inspired me to become a cold water swimmer (on an occasion).

I am a firm believer that audiobooks are also books.
My current favourite series is Red Rising by Pierce Brown. I've read it three times in two years.
I love nectarines and peaches.
I get excited about first snow.
I can teach you crazy Uno and promise I will beat you at Dutch Blitz given enough time.
