Description
We are Peter and Alex, we were on a 22 month long bicycle touring trip in Asia when we got the New Zealand work and holiday visa. We enjoyed cycling, but we decided to finish this part of our trip and restart the next chapter in New Zealand without our beloved bicycles, and do more workaways instead of cycling. Of course we are planning to work in New Zealand, but between the jobs we would like to volunteer to discover local life and to acquire new skills, to participate in projects that are similar to our plans once we get back to Hungary (renovation/building a house, gardening, DIY). We also like to spend our time usefully. That’s why we did some workaway and wwoofing during our cycling trip. Peter has some agricultural knowledge and experience in construction of buildings, and also maintenance of cars, he can use different hand- and power tools, Alex speaks languages and has some experience already in wwofing, and we are eager to learn more. We enjoy working with our hands, and do not mind getting dirty if a task demands that. So far, during our cycling trip we volunteered together in Albania, in Greece and in Vietnam. We participated in olive harvest for two months, which was very demanding, but interesting activity!
