Hi there! My name is Tom and I am 29 years old and I am a Teacher in Germany. My subjects are geography and economicy/technology/household-socialy (maybe you can call it cook, craft, sew too :D ). My personality is very sunny: I have every time a smile on my lips and a bad humor. I am a very positive type of people. In my free time I love to play Beachvolleyball and go cycling or surfing - a lot of sport therefor. What motivates me to travel? I will learn about the life, the education and the people. Salvatory does everything to improve the stay. You get all the help you ask for to have a good time.

Thank you for highlighting areas in your review that allow us to shed more light on our efforts. Masika, our founder, not only oversees the foundation but also serves as a full-time nurse at the local pediatric clinic, making a significant impact. Supported by our dedicated volunteer coordinator, who guides volunteers every step of the way, even remotely from Europe, we aim to provide comprehensive support.

We regret any discomfort you experienced regarding your living situation and encourage open communication with our coordinator to address such concerns promptly. Recognizing and bridging cultural differences is vital in our community, which is why we have a coordinator familiar with both cultures to facilitate understanding and communication.

As in any family, we acknowledge that challenges may arise. Your feedback allows us to address issues promptly, such as the change in housekeepers to ensure a comfortable environment for all volunteers.

Regarding the issue with the educational methodology at school, it's a complex challenge we're actively tackling through various educational initiatives. Since the inception of our school, we've encountered many hurdles in providing the fundamental right to education, particularly in a community where generational poverty often dictates one's future. We've initiated several projects aimed not only at educating the children but also at empowering the educators. One aspect that might not be immediately visible is our ongoing efforts to secure funding for comprehensive educational programs. These programs aim to provide a holistic approach to education, including training for teachers to shift away from traditional teaching methods towards a more progressive approach. We're committed to breaking the cycle of poverty and transforming mindsets within the community through education at all levels.

I taught and accompanied the children at the school for one month. I was able to gain great experience. The children are the most loving, honest and helpful children I have ever met. They give an incredible amount of love - unconditionally. One of my favourite moments in life was seeing them laugh.
