Hey everyone! My name is Timo and I am from the Netherlands. I'm currently 28 years old and over the course of thirteen years I took on various roles in hospitality. Some of the things I've done are making pizzas, waiting tables, bartending, housekeeping, washing dishes, delivering meals and many other things. Besides working in hospitality I spent four years in the corporate world (Sales & Recruitment). However, I realized that my true passion lies in hospitality. I missed the energy, creativity, and sense of community that comes with it.

At the moment, I’m enjoying my first Workaway adventure in Japan, working as a lodge employee at a ski lodge. My responsibilities range from serving and preparing breakfast to assisting guests, cleaning, general maintenance, and more. I started working at the lodge in November with the intention of staying until March when the ski season ends. However, I was invited to stay longer, and since I’ve really enjoyed my time here, I decided to stay on for the green season.
