👋 Hello!

We are Théalie and Lyne, two 21-year-old friends ready to embark on an adventure in September 2025. We met in our first year of higher education in France and spent three enriching years together. One day, we decided to take a gap year together. At first, we weren’t sure which country to choose, but we quickly turned to Australia, fascinated by its cultural diversity, unique landscapes, and lifestyle so different from ours.

While looking into what we could do there, our English teacher told us about Workaway. We immediately fell in love with the concept, which allows us to discover a country by immersing ourselves in local life, meet amazing people, and share authentic moments.

Our bond:
We are open-minded, curious, and full of life. We have already traveled together several times (Amsterdam, Berlin, Budapest…) and everything has always gone really well. We share the same expectations, know each other inside out, and are perfectly connected. This makes us a close-knit team, efficient in any situation.

What motivates us:
We are looking for more than just a trip. What we enjoy is being immersed with locals, discovering their traditions, and sharing simple, authentic moments. We also want to improve our English and become bilingual.

What we can offer:

We are very versatile and open to a wide variety of tasks. To give you an idea, we have already done : Babysitting, homework help, housework/cleaning, leisure park, animation with children, gatering.

Théalie :
I have various skills:
I have a qualification in youth work: the BAFA. It's a French qualification which allow to look after children during holidays and summer camp !
I have already done babysitting and homework help in France. So I am comfortable with children.
I also know how to clean. I did it for several months for an Airbnb apartment.
I like to cook and can follow a recipe without any problems.
I love animals and have already looked after various pets: cats, dogs, fish, and turtles!
As for gardening, I would love to learn!

About Lyne :
I am a friendly, adaptable and motivated person who loves discovering new things. I have worked in a hotel, which taught me how to take care of rooms and do cleaning properly. I also have experience with children, whether it was in an amusement park where I looked after their safety, or through babysitting where I played and spent time with them. I love animals – especially cats – and since I have always lived with pets, I feel very comfortable taking care of them. Coming from Alsace, I also took part several times in the grape harvest, so I am used to manual work in the vineyards and I don’t mind waking up early in the morning.
Through my various internships and summer jobs (museum, restaurant, amusement park, cleaning, marketing, vineyards…), I learned to be versatile and to adapt to many different tasks. I am not afraid to try new things – on the contrary, I really enjoy learning and I always bring energy and a positive attitude to what I do. I don’t have much gardening experience yet, but I don’t mind working outdoors, gardening and learning.
