I am really passionate about conservation and sustainability! I'd love to explore the nature surrounding the area I stay in and help out my host in any ways I can.

Description
My dream career is in marine conservation and I have a huge passion for protecting sharks. The ocean feels like home to me so I love participating in projects that help support marine ecosystems.
I am a bit of an adrenaline junkie that loves heights and trying new foods, particularly fruits. Nature brings me happiness along with traveling sustainably and going on adventures with friends. Volunteering abroad is something I have done in both Fiji and Honduras, ranging from construction projects to animal care. I am a super organized person that thrives on checking off lists and a great listener that loves to hear other's stories. I am a writer so listening can be a huge part of the job when you want to share someone's research or adventures with the world. Being active in the outdoors brings me happiness, ranging from sand volleyball to hiking mountains. I am really excited about the opportunity to go to a new place and hopefully get to be immersed in the culture of that particular area.

More details about your skills
I have a bachelors degree in communication and extensive writing experience from working for the National Park Service as a science communicator. I've done a social media internship at a marine laboratory off the coast of Washington state. During this, I assisted with a night dive and participated in other boat excursions, making me very comfortable on the water. I also took a marine ecology class where I conducted research on an invasive crab species. I have a master's degree in conservation leadership where I gathered certifications such as wildlife project management. To earn this degree, I did a capstone project where I helped create a waterproof octopus identification guide for divers. I also launched this project on a citizen science platform asking divers to help collect data for octopus research. Aside from that, I was vice president for a fitness club and have experience in weightlifting. I was a collegiate athlete who played volleyball and have coached kids in both volleyball and gymnastics.
