Description
Hi Everyone! I am a navy veteran (Corpsman) from Texas, USA.
I want to see more of this world, meet different people and try new things, what better way to do this then to work/help people in the process.
my way of travel is to pick a starting point, buy a one way ticket (and a spoof ticket), then decide my next move when i get there.
I'm well traveled (14 countries and counting), done volunteer tourism in most of them. My stays have ranged from 2 weeks to 6 weeks.
i don't have any physical disabilities and am in pretty good shape.
Ask me anything.
If my profile looks good to you, and you are anywhere in Malaysia; please send me a message, I would love to hear from you. -

More details about your skills
This will be my first time in Malaysia.
In the past I've worked for numerous hosts, some include:
Quito, El Salvador I was the gardener for a large hostel covered in plants, I tilled, fertilized, re potted/planted, pruned, cleaned, and sprayed every single one.
In Costa Rica, I was reception opening/closing, check-ins/check-outs, general cleaning, changing beds, laundry, and making breakfast for the guests.
In El Salvador, I assisted a woman clearing and replanting plants on her property and building a fence. this project involved the use of a chainsaw.
I worked at a hostel in Roatan, Honduras. My duties there were: Reception, managing check ins and outs, keeping account of cash on hand, deep cleaning the rooms (as per pandemic needs) after check out or inspecting the rooms before check in, pool maintenance, and cleaning the common spaces and hostel grounds.
Coban, Guatemala I lived with and assisted a family with their small farming project and some garden maintenance. This one was more of a hard labor project.
Livingston, Guatemala I worked at a hostel, checking guests in and out, tending the bar and entertaining tourists.
Utila, Honduras I housesat an eco-house (solar power, rainwater collection and composting toilet) in the jungle for 3 weeks by myself, taking care of her 2 dogs, 2 cats and the garden while she was back in the states. This workaway host personally recommended me for the hostel in Roatan, Honduras a few years later.
At home in Texas, I have hands on experience with goats and horses owned by family members. I also have volunteered with Habitat for Humanity many times, incase you want me to build you a house lol! (can NOT actually build a house)
In the Navy I was a corpsman which is similar to a medical assistant, so I have knowledge of first aide and was a Basic Life Support Instructor. -

Andy ,the manager, is chill and dedicated to make sure people feel welcome and have fun. Someone needs to challenge Andy to beer pong and take that damn chain around his neck for me.
They also have free beer here:asterisk_symbol:
