Hi! Great to meet you! I'm Sophie and I'll be travelling New Zealand for the next two years. I love meeting new people and spending most of my time outdoors. I am passionate about adventure, creativity and learning new skills.

I am always excited to try new things and previously lived in the Alps in France where I was a chalet host and skier. I'm hoping my trip to New Zealand will be my next big adventure!

I finished my degree in history in 2020 and have over 7 years hospitality experience. I really enjoy working with people and in customer service. I am very adaptable and always really keen to learn new things. I have also worked on the mountains in France and as a high ropes and climbing instructor in the UK. I am always up for a challenge and greatly enjoy the outdoors.

I also love peaceful retreats and consider myself pretty handy! I love fixing and building things as well as learning from other's experience. I speak English and would love to learn other languages too.

I love animals and am always happy to help in their care and enrichment.

I had the best stay with Rex and Sue at their place. The caravan and bus is so private and lovely and you really have your own space to relax. The work was very fair and Sue gave plenty of time off to explore Christchurch and enjoy yourself. You cater for your own food here but you'll have everything you could ever need in the bus. I had the most amazing time staying with Tarah and her lovely family for two weeks. I helped out with home tasks and Tarah was kind enough to let me help with and show me her business working with the dogs. I can't recommend this lovely family enough as I had a great stay and had lots of time to explore the beautiful coromandel.

Thank you so much to James and Nicola for hosting me! I had an amazing stay! They were always very clear about what needed doing and super flexible to help me make the most of my time in the area. The gardening work was always manageable and they are very kind and generous hosts. Would highly recommend to anyone.

A massive thank you to Jennie and Steven for hosting me! they are a wonderful couple and made me feel very welcome. Jennie is very knowledgeable about gardening and always was clear and helpful with what I was expected to do. Helping with the church youth group was also fantastic and everyone I met was so welcoming.
