Description
As a 25-year old MA student by day, a teacher by heart, and a language lover by birth, I have always strived to see beyond the socially constructed notions of borders —be it national, cultural, well, anything in between and beyond. I am driven by a curiosity about the world and a wish to learn from perspectives so thankfully different from mine to promote (intersectional) respect for all.
Otherwise, I do yoga every morning, and I love learning new langauges. I have volunteering experience from both community, humanitarian and educational projects. Abroad as well as in Denmark, I have taught at various schools both as a substitute teacher and as a reading assistant teaching literacy. -

More details about your skills
I am an excellent teacher who loves to teach - and to learn new languages. I have vast experience in teaching, in particular literacy for dyslexic children and children with reading difficulties in general, though I have also taught my share of math and languages. Further, I have experiences both working and volunteering in shops with customer contact, reception work etc.
I also have volunteer experience in organisations and NGOs both in Denmark and abroad, where I am used to take the lead, initiate new projects and be the primus motor for coordination.
If I get a manual / description I can learn most anything! -

The work was light, depending on the day. On quiet days, we would water the grass, set up tents, and/or help with cooking and the dishes. Other times, when groups camped at the site, we would have more work. All in … read more
While the work here is somewhat different to what I initially imagined and had understood, I still enjoyed (to say the least) my 9 weeks in Pamplona. Because I stayed for two months I even had the chance to start a reading programme at two community foundations for children (teaching reading is my old metier). I… … read more

I had the privilege to stay at the monastery for the entire month of August, and it was an absolute pleasure.
I literally felt like a guest at a 5 star hotel; amazing food, welcoming venerables/local volunteers, and minimal work.
We usually work four times a week, though this work is minimal and usually just … read more

Although I only stayed with Vincent, Catherine, and all the others for 2.5 weeks, I enjoyed every single day surrounded by lovely company and inspirational teachings.
The work I did was mostly covering the reception, cleaning, handing out leaflets in shops, running errands, helping out in the shop/cafe, and other ad hoc … read more
I don't know how else I would begin this review.
My stay in Madaba had everything I could ever wish for - six weeks of laughter, books, music, joy and tears. I felt welcomed from the very first second (my personal theory is that this place has a magnet which attracts only the nicest and most warmhearted people). It truly is a family, and … read more

I stayed with Vero, Gorka, Laia and Ariane for four weeks and helped out with their English, taught them a few words in German and helped out in general in the house.
The Basque country is amazing, beautiful and welcoming. And Vero/Gorka would be happy to drive you to the bus stop / train station if you'd want to explore. … read more
