Traveling while working and working while traveling motivates me. Experiencing new environments and cultures brings me happiness. You can count on me to participate whole heartedly in all tasks required of me during the Workaway! In my Profile Photos, there is a screen shot of my 5 Star Reviews that I received while Volunteering in the USA.

For the past 12 years, I lived in Surf City, NC, USA with my children. Now that my son is in the Air Force in WY and my daughter is in college at UNC Chapel Hill, I have decided to move. I am not sure where I want to reside permanently, thus my desire to Workaway.

I have completed 4 Workaways over the past 3 years and each were one - two month long volunteer opportunities.

Two opportunities were in Guatemala and Peru teaching and crafting with children. I completed the TEFL course in 2019 and have experience teaching in early education and college settings.

My most recent Workaways were in Australia and Bali. I spent a month in Australia working on an eco farm. In my past, I volunteered and worked at many organizations in the USA such as Kids Korps (kids giving back to the community) and Sturgeon City (taught all ages about the environment). I am interested in continuing to participate in eco projects.

A two month Workaway was in Bali assisting with web site SEO. I am currently perfecting photography, social media marketing, and web design on the side!

At present, I am a member of Trusted HouseSitters performing pet care duties for dogs, cats, and birds in the USA.

I am a non smoker, tidy individual and I clean the spaces I use. Also, I have all my COVID immunizations so that I can travel internationally without any problems.

Finally, I completed the ASA 101, 103 certificate courses and lived aboard a catamaran for a week while doing so. I am hopeful Workaway will provide me with a live aboard sailing volunteer opportunity in the near future.

Throughout my years, I've worked in all industries and acquired several skills.

I started out in my younger years working as a housekeeper at a hotel, hostess and waitress at a restaurant, and finally a lifeguard which was the most fun of course!

After college, I worked as a Safety Professional in all industries from candy manufacturing, construction, healthcare, and commercial lines insurance.

I completed the TEFL course in 2019 and can teach English to children and adults. In the past, I taught art to children at my Create-A-Craft art studio in Surf City, NC. I also taught adults construction safety in the community college setting in San Diego, CA.

I have experience as a Nurse Assistant in the healthcare industry specifically in a hospital and assisted living facility. I interact well with all ages including seniors.

In 2021, I completed the ASA 101, 103 certificate courses and lived aboard a catamaran for a week while doing so.

I now work approximately 4 hours a day from anywhere. I am an independent contractor QCing commercial lines insurance reports on my computer (just need WiFi).
