Ahoj, jsme manželé Zdeněk a Šárka. Pocházíme z České republiky. Je nám 55 let. Celý život jsme pracovali, vychovali dvě děti a teď je čas na změnu. Rozhodli jsme se zjistit, jak žijí lidé v zahraničí. Mezitím nám Workaway přivezla naši dceru s její kamarádkou, když nás během svého prvního pobytu seznámila se svou švédskou hostitelkou. Podívali jsme se jeden druhému do očí. Dohodli jsme se, že se během jejich šestiměsíční nepřítomnosti budeme starat o jejich farmu. Švédsko bylo po mnoho let jednou z prvních destinací, o které jsme měli velký zájem. Toto byla naše první zkušenost s hlídáním domu. Starali jsme se o rodinný dům a malou farmu s rozlehlými pozemky. Našimi zvířecími přáteli se stali čtyři koně, husy, kachny, krůty, slepice, holubi a pár pávů, včetně kočky. Život s tolika různými zvířaty byl velmi zábavný, naplňující a psychicky obohacující. Vždycky jsme doma měli jen zahradu, kočku a psa. Kromě objevování krásných míst v okolí jsme se spřátelili s lidmi žijícími v okolí farmy a poznali několik zajímavých osudů. Několikaměsíční pobyt na jednom místě nám ukázal, že je to opravdu nejlepší způsob, jak poznat život místních, specifickou krajinu a spojit se s energií místa. Takový pobyt člověku umožní změnit svůj pohled na život, utvořit si přesvědčení a zvyky, člověk přirozeně poznává sám sebe. Důvěra původně cizích lidí, s níž vám svěřují místo, kde žijí, je také velmi obohacující a posilující. Oba milujeme přírodu, pobyt na čerstvém vzduchu a různé outdoorové aktivity. Rádi se ale také věnujeme údržbě domu, umíme uklízet a vařit. Rádi tvoříme nové věci.

We have lived together in the village in a house with a garden for 30 years. We therefore have extensive experience in house and garden maintenance.
Sarka is a trained gardener and this activity is also her great hobby, including her knowledge of nature. At the same time, she has many years of experience working in a museum, including creating exhibitions and creating specialist programs for visitors. She is a cheerful, creative person, she likes to paint, sing and spend time in nature, taking care of the house and animals.
Zdenek has experience in cutting timber on a bandsaw and working with wood in general. He also did various jobs in the forest. He has been working in the field of buying and selling machines for many years. He travels around Europe and is an experienced active driver. Driving is his hobby. He is also not afraid of driving a tractor and other machines. He is well versed in the issue of wood processing machines. He is a calm and prudent person.
We are both trained engineers at an agricultural university.

We like movement in general, hiking, traveling, camping, cross-country skiing, culture, history and monuments, art galleries. We like animals.
We prefer living in harmony with nature, not creating unnecessary waste. We only buy what we absolutely need. We are interested in self-sufficiency and the possibility of producing our own food.
