Hello everyone!

I'm Sara, originally from Italy and currently based in the south of France.

I've always loved learning languages and discovering new cultures. I speak Italian, English, French and Spanish. For me, Workaway is a great way to travel more slowly, exchange skills, learn new ones, be part of meaningful projects and meet like-minded people along the way.

I'm a freelance yoga teacher and social media manager. I've also spent time in colivings and retreats, so I'm used to sharing spaces and enjoying community life.

I love music and sing jazz and devotional chants. I’m always up to jam with other musicians or join a karaoke session.

I like to have an interesting conversation over a meal , a quiet walk in nature but also manual work, cooking or learning something completely new. There's something really satisfying about seeing the results of a day of work. I'm happy to lend a hand wherever it's needed and I really enjoy learning practical skills.

My little travel buddy is Swati, a pocket-sized (2 kg of cuteness!) rescue dog. She's used to travelling, loves cuddles and would probably do just about anything for a treat.

I care for our planet and try to live as simply as possible. I also care for animals and volunteer with shelters to foster them before being adopted.

Languages have always been a big part of my life. I enjoy helping others practise Italian, English or French and I would also love to continue improving my Spanish through conversations and cultural exchange. I have some basic knowledge of German that I would like to improve as well.

I have a diverse academic and professional background, combining humanities, business, communication and creative fields. I studied Classics and Business Administration and have professional experience in customer service, retail, marketing and communication, which has helped me develop strong organisational and interpersonal skills.

Over the years, I have also organised and facilitated workshops and events around yoga, music and wellbeing, combining creativity, communication and organisation.

I enjoy working with different materials to craft objects as jewellery as well as painting wood and ceramics.

I have experienced in house renovation, painting and plastering, fixing wooden floors, light plumbing.

I enjoy cooking and making pizza from scratch.

I enjoy visiting museums and art galleries, discovering local artists, singing and jamming with others, writing, drawing and spending time outdoors.

I am quite adventurous with food and always open to new culinary discoveries.

I also love animals and enjoy spending time with dogs.

The best part of travelling for me is the human experience: meeting people from different backgrounds, sharing stories and discovering how much we have in common.
