Hi, I’m Sara, originally from Hamburg, Germany.

I’ve been to about 30 countries so far, but this time I really want to get to know New Zealand.

I started my Workaway journey in January 2020 because I wanted to experience the world in a more meaningful way — not just as a tourist, but by truly connecting with people and their everyday lives.

For me, it’s about sharing, learning, and being part of something real.

I enjoy getting my hands dirty and trying new things. I believe in a fair balance of giving and receiving — contributing with my time and energy while learning from others.
Mutual respect and open communication are very important to me.

Over the past years, I’ve worked in Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Germany, France, Argentina, and Chile where I gained experience in hotelery, work with kids, organizing households, cooking, painting, animal care, gardening, woodwork and general outdoor work. I’m adaptable, motivated, and always happy to learn new skills.

I love being outdoors, spending time in nature, and sharing good food and meaningful conversations with others. I also enjoy creative activities and simple, mindful living — and I’ll never say no to good chocolate or a good wine :)

I’m looking for a genuine place where I can contribute, learn, and connect with people and the environment around me.

I’m also open to opportunities where I can take on more responsibility or use my skills in a way that could be financially supported, as I’m funding my time abroad.

After school I worked in a company where I sew clothes for the rescues about 5years.

After that I worked in a big company in line for one year.

I needed something different in my life.

I moved to Hamburg and did there an apprenticeship for medicine pedicure and Manicure and massage.

I worked in this great job one year and went on my worldtour.
