My name is Sam, I am from Leeds, England and looking to visit and experience other parts of the world whilst I have some free time between jobs. I have a degree in Ecology, i have been a secondary school science teacher and I now work in outdoor education with primary school children and run Duke of Edinburgh expeditions. I love being outdoors and have a very keen interest in the natural world. I love wildlife photography and could happily spend all day outside tracking down animals and plants (obviously plants are easier to track). I also have a very keen interest in sports of any kind, but my strongest sport is tennis and i have down some tennis coaching in Leeds and play for my local team. But I am happy to take part in any activities/games and just a general fun lover. I am a very easy going and relaxed person, but love to get involved and help when I can. I have experience working with children of all ages and members of the public in a variety of different ways.
I have previously travelled for 9 months around South East Asia and New Zealand and spent time working on farms in many different locations. I found this thoroughly enjoyable and something that I would like to do more of!

I have worked with children for most of my time since I left university, mainly teaching environmental education outdoors, but also I have worked in a school for a couple of years. During my time here I worked with ages 3 - 11 and also with special needs children which I found incredibly rewarding, so any work with children or just other people in general I would love to be involved with.
I have been involved with sport a lot of my life so anything to do with sport I would like to get involved with and am a generally fit and healthy person for any jobs that are labour intensive.
I have a good knowledge of the natural world in the UK and am keen to expand on that and learn about different animals/plants and habitats around the world.
I am very easy to get on with and have worked with members of the public in roles I have undertaken previously so would enjoy a role talking to tourists/customers.
I am a very hard working person that would love to help as much as possible and would enjoy getting involved as much as possible with my host families and the local cultures.
